The Saint Catherine of Siena Children's Choir is open to all elementary school and middle school students wishing to participate in music ministry. The Childrens Choir leads music at the 9:00am Mass once a month (see the calendar for exact dates) during the school year. In the last few years, the children have also been able to participate in music opportunities outside of Sunday Mass.

Some of their activities have included:

  • Singing at Harvest Day
  • Christmas Caroling at Hillside Nursing Center and Wake Forest Care Center
  • Christmas Caroling for our homebound parishioners
  • Christmas Caroling at the North Carolina State Capitol Building
  • Christmas Caroling at The Factory in Wake Forest
  • Christmas Eve Mass (this has traditionally been at 4:00pm)
  • Auditioning and performing the National Anthem at the Mudcats stadium in Zebulon, as well as the Durham Bulls.
  • Easter Musical Reflection
  • Wake Forest's Meet in the Street
  • Wake Forest's Fourth of July Celebration

Children's Choir will resume in the Fall with the start of Faith Formation Classes and will be at a new time:  6:15 -6:45 PM in the church.  All Children in the Parish, Grades 1 - 8, are invited to participate.  The Children's Choir will sing once a month during the traditional school year calendar.  A 2008-2009 Choir Calendar will be posted soon.
